Types of Arthritis
There are more than 150 different types of arthritis and all affect joints and bones. The most common forms of arthritis are:
Osteoarthritis:
It is the most common degenerative joint disease and occurs after the
age of 40. In this the bones increase in size and the space between them
decreases, making the bones rub against each other, causing pain. It
also results from structure changes in the particular cartilage, in the
joints, mainly of spine and knees.
Rheumatoid Arthritis:
It is a serious disease that can occur at any stage of life. It is more
disastrous than osteoarthritis as it destroys the ligaments and tendons
that join the bones and muscles. It affects not only the joints of the
fingers, wrists, hips, knees and feet but also the muscles, tendons and
other tissues of the body. It is an autoimmune disorder where synovial
membranes that line the joints, get inflamed and thickened, leading to
pain and deformity of joints.
Gout: It is caused
by an excess of uric acid that accumulates in the system forming
crystals that are caught in the spaces between the joints and cause
inflammation and irritation. An excruciating pain is created in thumb,
knee or elbow and most commonly the big toe.
Causes of Arthritis
Many are of a view that living in damp, cold climate increases the
possibility of becoming afflicted with this very painful and
debilitating condition. It can also be caused by bad fall, a severe jolt
or the trauma of an accident. Often if you go back into time you'll remember that you had one or a number of traumas with a knee, elbow or foot.
Joint Instability: Severe or
recurrent joint injury from heavy physical activity, excess
overweight-excessive body weight, exercise activities such as
long-distance running, basketball, etc. performed over many years will
result in the development of arthritis.
Hormonal Factors:
Higher proportion of women suffers from this disease as compare to men
due to the hormonal changes that take place during the menopause.
Environmental Factors: Like some are of the view that damp conditions increases the possibility of arthritis as well as our polluted environment.
Psychological Factors: like stress that disturbs the body’s hormonal balance and makes the immune system weak.
Food Allergy: A diet rich in animal products, potatoes, tomatoes and wheat.
Nutrient Deficiency: Vitamine D, Calcium, magnesium, manganese, protein and essential fatty acids.
There is no foolproof quick remedy. Since we are all different and
have different reactions to chemicals, it is not easy to work out what
helps you.
The pharma industry gives a pill for all, mostly a
painkiller with terrible side effects and none of these make the disease
go away. In fact many of these pain killers make the disease worse.
Only the body's immune system can heal!
Some natural remedies:
- Acupuncture
- Animal foods: avoid them. Arachidonic acid found in meat provokes joint inflammation.
- Boron (see indepth article on Boron)
- Chondroitin: helps draw fluid into cartilage, improving shock-absorbing ability.
- Elimination diets/weight control: more weight equals more joint pressure. It is debatable if fasting reduces symptoms or not.
- Fish oils: controls inflammation in the body. Examples of other
oils also used for the same purpose: flax, borage, sesame, sunflower and
pumpkin.
- Food allergies: linked to many causes for arthritis. Common foods
to look out for: wheat, corn, dairy, citrus, salt, caffeine, tomatoes,
white potatoes, eggplant and peppers. (does not include black peppers)
- Ginger: anti inflammatory with no major side effects.
- Glucosamine sulfate: builds cartilage with very few side effects.
- Magnets: results are still preliminary. Most commonly used in
jewelry, clothing, and bed linens. It is stated that many of the magnets
available on the market are not strong enough.
- MSM: Organic sulfur used to reduce inflammation.
- Nettle leaf: Reduces need for NSAIDS by 70% (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs)
- Vitamin E: An antioxidant used primarily for osteoarthritis
- Yoga, meditation, creative visualization and imagery.
- Aroma therapy
- Osteopathy and chiropractic therapy
- Homeopathy
- Environmental medicine
- Pantothenic acid
We all react differently on remedies, what works for one might no do anything for another. Also dosage is very important.
Most important is to exercise, to keep on moving without forcing.
Swimming is one of the best execises since it enables to move in a near
weightlesness. Bicylcling and walking are the next best execises.
My personal story
I had a sudden harsh arthritis attack in the right knee, which started when I was about 54. I could not walk, sit still, sleep. I could not function. An X-ray of the knee showed practically no cartilage left. My specialist suggested a knee replacement operation and prescribed Celebrex (which has hurrendous side effects and factually destroys cartilage!)
Studying the Internet I found a small US company selling a liquid glucosamine based product, ordered it and waited for its arrival.
After only a week I managed to walk again nearly like a normal person. After some months I was practically back to my normal self. I kept on taking the product for over a year, then went back to the hospital and had an X-ray made.
The specialist was surprised and a bit annoyed: "There is 3 mm of cartilage! How is that possible?".
I said thank you and told him I would not even bother to explain how.
So since then I helped a lot of people and their pets to get mobile again. My arthritis was gone and did not come back (more than 10 years ago)
This Synflex product has really worked for me and my friends, give it a try for 2 or three months
Rheumatoid Arthritis
When inflammation and swelling affect your joints, besides pain, it is
called rheumatoid arthritis. In addition, a blood test may reveal
“rheumatoid factor” to be present. In this case, the common tiny round
worms have invaded your joints. These are Ascaris, Ancylostomas, Strongyloides, and Trichinella. Their eggs are
everywhere around us, in dust and dirt and the filth under fingernails
and our own bowel movements
Make sure your pet is treated with parasite herbs or by zap- per as
well. A pet that goes outdoors will quickly (the very next day) bring
these roundworms into the house again. Give away your pets if possible.
Check for dental problems. Do the Dental Clean-Up. Then do a Kidney Cleanse and Liver Cleanse.
Drink much more water. Switch to toxin-free body products. Live in a
non-toxic house. Knees are a
favorite location for rheumatoid arthritis. Knees are very dependent on
kidneys.
To summarize, do everything as for osteoarthritis, emphasizing the roundworm parasites for elimination.
My 2nd story
Several months ago I got terrible problems with the other knee. It was different from my first experience 10 years ago. This felt more like a ligament problem. So I tried different remedies, some helped for a while some did nothing. I'm an avid barebow shooter spending the weekends in the hills. It became agony, unbearable.
So I carefully looked after my diet, lots of greens, curcuma, cayenne, fresh ginger, less meat, less whiskey. Massaging with Cannabis essential oil and Tiger balm.
I restarted taking Synflex and after an eternal 2 months I'm fine again I can climb and walk fairly painless.
Initially I thought it did not work but I think the combination of everything did the job.
Thus again Synflex helped me to do my sport again, btw I'm 66.
